Couple hashtag ideas

Hashtag formats worth copying.

Every good wedding hashtag is one of about eight formats wearing your names. Here they are with examples — then generate yours with your own names filled in.

  • #EmmaAndLiam2027Names + year — the default. Unambiguous, searchable, done.
  • #HappilyEverEmmaliamHappily Ever ___ with your ship name in the blank.
  • #EmmaliamSayIDo___ Say I Do — short, and the verb does the work.
  • #MeetTheEmmaliamsMeet the ___s — treats the blend as your new shared surname.
  • #TeamEmmaliamTeam ___ — also rallies the wedding party.
  • #EmmaWedsLiamName weds name — old newspaper energy, zero confusion.
  • #EmmaliamInParisBlend + city — the destination wedding format.
  • #FinallyEmmaliamFinally ___ — for long engagements and second weddings alike.
  • #EmmaAndLiamTieTheKnotThe idiom format — longer, but guests remember it.
  • #TwoLessFishInTheSeaThe joke format — dating-app couples only; sign it so guests get it.

The four rules that matter more than the format

  1. CapitalizeEveryWord. It's called PascalCase, screen readers pronounce it correctly, and guests copying it from a sign make fewer mistakes.
  2. One tag, everywhere. Pick a single primary tag for signs and the program. A second “fun” tag splits your photo stream in half.
  3. Check for collisions and meanings. Search the exact string on Instagram and TikTok. Blends in particular can collide with an existing word — better discovered now than on the seating chart.
  4. Seed it early. Engagement post, save-the-date, invitation. By the wedding day it should feel like your name, not a new instruction.
