How to pick the one tag

Generate ten, then choose one — a wedding with three hashtags has none, because guests split their photos across all of them. The reliable rules:

  • Capitalize Each Word. #EmmaAndLiam2027 is readable at a glance and screen-reader friendly; #emmaandliam2027 is a soup of letters on a printed sign.
  • Check it before you print it. Search the exact tag on Instagram and TikTok. If a stranger's wedding (or something worse) already owns it, add the year — that's what the year variants above are for.
  • Say it out loud. If the blend inside the tag needs explaining, use the plain names version for the signs and keep the ship name for the two of you.
  • Put it everywhere early. Save-the-dates, the invitation suite, a sign at the bar. Guests can't use a hashtag they first see at the reception.

Can we use our ship name in the hashtag?
